Virginia's Standards of Learning Objectives
These standards (copyright: Virginia State
Department of Education,
1985) will be revised. Currently these
remain the standards in place. The standards may still be helpful
to new school library media professionals developing information use
programs. Links to core competencies for individual grade levels are
given at the bottom of this document. I am including information
skills competencies outlined in the new, revised subject disciplines, such
as English, where appropriate there.
